A kitchen that grew into a table for everyone
Liya's Kitchen started with a simple idea — to serve good, honest Sri Lankan food made fresh every day.
We began small, with just a few dishes and a lot of hard work. There was no big restaurant, no elaborate menu, and no shortcuts. Just fresh ingredients, traditional flavours, and a desire to give every guest a meal worth coming back for.
Slowly, the word spread. Villagers began making Liya's Kitchen part of their everyday meals, and travellers passing through Lahugala started stopping by for a taste of our food. What began as a small restaurant gradually became a place where both locals and travellers could sit down, enjoy a good meal, and feel welcome.
Today, we continue to keep things simple — fresh food, traditional Sri Lankan flavours, and a warm table for everyone who walks through our door.
